Our guitar friends and teachers Luke Galas and Dave Martin formed a new group with us, the Folias Tango Quartet! If you can make the trip check us out with the Madison Tango Society this weekend.

This past year I directed a concert and fine art series called MAJIC, Musical Arts for Justice in the Community. With our third season down we are still going strong! The grand finale concert of the season this Friday premiers a jazz ensemble piece commissed by MAJIC written by local Grand Rapid’s pianist and composer Steve Talaga.
The work is inspired by the Heartside neighborhood, the home of Bethlehem Lutheran Church where MAJIC takes place.
Here is the line-up and an audio sneak preview of the concert. Steve graciously asked me and Andy to bust out our jazz chops for this one!
